Listen to my songs and THEY will tell you about how I feel, what I think, what I’ve done, where I’ve been, where I’m going, who I love and those I’ve lost. I write and sing my songs unashamedly from the heart and for me, the best place to be is either with my wife and son or playing my guitar and singing songs with and for those people who enjoy, connect and understand.

And so…..
Inspired by meeting the great Steve Earle and after so many happy and memorable years of playing with The Valentine Vagabonds, I am now enjoying performing ‘solo’ again singing my heart out in different places and on different stages (Arts Centres, Folk Clubs, House Concerts, Festivals, Village Halls and Bars etc) performing a complementary selection of my own songs, some folk/country style songs (Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, Tom Paxton, Bruce Springsteen …….) and a few classic hits from the 1950s/early 60s (Dion and The Belmonts, Ben E. King, The Drifters, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley et al)

Influences and Inspiration include: Folk/Country/Blues/Rock ‘n’ Roll songs of the present and past and artists including: Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Presley, Dion Di Mucci,Patsy Cline, Nanci Griffith, Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Jack Ingram and most of all… Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen and the Poet – Tony Harrison.
